A New Chapter in Our Journey as Fransalians

With deep gratitude and renewed commitment, we, the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (MSFS), have concluded our 21st General Chapter in Visakhapatnam, India. This sacred gathering brought together 23 elected delegates and 19 ex-officio members to discern God’s call for our congregation and elect new leadership for the next eight years. We rejoice in the election of our new Superior General, Rev. Fr.  Johnson Michael Kallidukil, who will guide us in our mission with wisdom and zeal. He will be assisted by: Fr. Puthiyakulangara Saji George – Assistant General Fr. Thumma Mariadas Reddy – General Councilor for Mission Fr. Benedict De Souza – General Councilor for Formation Fr. A. Anthony Swamy – General Councilor for Education Fr. A. Christu Raj – General Councilor for Social and Innovative Ministries Fr. Karickal Jose – General Bursar We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our outgoing Superior General, Rev. Fr. Abraham Vattuveil, for his 12 years of dedicated service and leadership. As we move forward, we remain deeply rooted in the charism of our founder, Fr. Peter Marie Mermier, who established our congregation in 1838 in Annecy, France. Today, our mission continues to flourish across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, with seven vibrant provinces in India. As we embrace this new chapter, we commit ourselves anew to making Christ known and loved, bringing His love and service to those in need. May the Holy Spirit guide us in our journey ahead!
