Retreat or Renewal Centres are outstanding in Dibrugarh province as a commitment to the apostolate of Missions. These institutes are centres of excellence, professionalism, and profundity of spiritual direction and formation. The Retreat Centres are vibrant spaces for spiritual and faith renewal for priests, religious and the laity.

The province of Dibrugarh has made efforts in preaching missions. The establishment of renewal centres is the clearest manifestation of province’s commitment to the charism of preaching mission. A number of individual confreres are engaged in retreat preaching and animations of priests, religious and lay-people as part of the apostolate of missions. Some of the confreres have been specially trained in preaching missions: some of the confreres are being prepared to take up the ministry; some are freed from other responsibilities enabling them to undertake such missions. We experience a kind of revival and renewal taking place already in the hearts of the people. We find broken families reunited, people who have abandoned the faith come back, drug addicts and alcoholics leading wholesome lives etc. Many lay persons take active part in the proclamation of the word. These are encouraging signs which is the result of our renewal ministry in northeast India.
