FRANSAIAN YOUTH MISSION (FYM)

Fransalian Youth Ministry is an endeavour of the Missionaries of St. Francis De Sales (MSFS). The congregation has launched many programmes which build up the youth of this region. The aim of the Fransalian youth ministry is to provide opportunities tobuild up the youngsters of north east region. FYM aims at bringing about a change in the life of the youngsters and thereby in the society. The Fransalian Youth Movement has already done a lot of work among the youth through Youth camps,Leadership training programmes, animation programmes, Self-employmentopportunities, Career Guidance, Teacher training programme Youth reteats, faith formation, evangelisation through music ministry and coaching classes. The target group of the Fransalian Youth Ministry are the School and College Students, Catholic Youth associations, Youngsters in the different categories, school dropouts, unemployed youth, disillusioned and demoralised youth.

The ministry to the youth is one of the charisms of the Congregation. Fransalian Youth Mission, Northeast India, flagged off in the year 1995, is the realization of the great vision and hard work of the MSFS envisioning and realizing that there has to be a massive evangelization and re-evangelization of the youth today.Today, Fransalian Youth Mission (FYM) is making inroads into the hearts of many youth in Northeast India through its spiritual and social intervention within a short period, giving a sense of purpose and orientation to our youth to become agents of transformation in the society.

Fr Carlus Barowa is appointed as the Director of FYM of the Dibrugarh Province on 15, September 2020.
