St. Francis De Sales is the patron of Journalists and writers. So he is also the patron of the press apostolate. Right from the beginning, MSFS in India were involved in the apostolate of press and technical institutions. Aim of these institutions was to serve the local church and to prove young men the basic skills in different trades so that they are able to find jobs. In many ways these institutions have given their service to the local church. Many young men have received training in our centres and are well placed in life.

SFS Technical Institute at Imphal, imparts training in printing. Through this ministry MSFS continue to reach out to the poor youth of the region, offering them avenues for self-employment and other job opportunities.
