When the parish was opened, there was a primary school under Senapati Parish run by the local church. Together with the Parish the School too came under the care of fathers with a new name St Francis de Sales School. In 1994 the school was recognized and received the permission to start classes IX and X and the first batch of metric students appeared in 1996. As a small village, there is nothing spectacular but St Francis de Sales school has made a difference. The SFS School has brought name and fame to the catholic church. The school has not only lifted the outlook of the village but has also made the neighbors accessible to the fountain of knowledge. Today SFS school is one of the leading schools in the area with an enrolment of over 950 students.
