SFS school was opened on June 28, 2005, by admitting 130 students to LKG and UKG. It was begun in a bamboo shed near the army camp at Tato.  The MSMHSC sisters joined the school in 2006. The present school building was inaugurated in 2013 by the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Mr NabomTuki. The construction of the school building was undertaken FrsLuksoeKavungal 2011-2015 and Vintu Augustine. Fr Xavier Daimary served the school as the principal from the year 2017- 2019 and Fr Ajit Daimary is presently the principal of the school till date.
