SFS school Pasighat was opened on June 8, 1999, with Fr Jose Karipadathu as the first headmaster. In May 2000 a school building was inaugurated. There were 50 students of which 33 were admitted to the hostel. The school had to be relocated and classes were interrupted after the flash flood of June 11, 2000.  Later on, in 2007, the school was shifted to the permanent building at diking village. The first batch of students appeared for class ten in 2012.
