CHRIST KING HIGH SCHOOL GOGAMUKH

The Christ School started in the year 1982. From 1982 till today, Christ King High School has seen a lot of changes and developments. Every priest who worked there made extensions to the existed infrastructure to meet the needs. Fr Stephen Marayikulam (jr), during his tenure constructed the auditorium and the school building, the extension of the principal’s office and the new computer lab. He also initiated the social works for the local communities. It has a large play ground and a number of Catholics on the teaching staff. The first batch of students wrote their matriculation exams in 1993. Since then, the result of the school has been always outstanding. Mr Bhargave Pathak of Gogamukh won the 4th Rank in the HSLC examination in 2014 with a mark of 594/600. The tiny school of 1982 has become a full-fledged high school with more than 1600 students on its roll. In 2016 a beautiful basketball court was constructed with the financial help from the Mishing Autonomous Council.
