ST. FRANCIS DE SALES SCHOOL SILAPATHAR

St. Francis De Sales School, Silapathar, is one of the minority schools owned and administered by the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (M.S.F.S). The School is established in the year 2015, with the sole purpose of providing an atmosphere of intensive learning in a stimulating setting to the students of the locality. The school is committed to a culture of excellence and full realization of human potential. It aims at forming totally integrated persons with genuine human and spiritual values, who are committed, competent and socially responsible. It admits students both boys and girls without discriminating against any religion, caste or creed. The students consist of various ethnic groups such as Assamese, Bodos, Bengalis, Biharis, Malwaris, Missings and Nepalis.

The School aims at developing in the child an integrated personality with a healthy mind and body possessing strength of character and capacity for hard work. The school lays stress on both curricular and extracurricular excellence, on truthfulness, gentleness, good manners and mutual respect. St. Francis De Sales School, Silapathar started to function on 9th April 2015 with classes one, two, three. The school has reached class IX in 2021. The school has an excellent teaching staff coupled with smart class rooms. Fr Thomas Arackal was the first principal of the school who served the school from its inception till 2021. Currently Fr JobinsVengathadathil is the principal of the school.

 

Another remarkable feature of the school is that it is situated in the same campus of Don Bosco High School Silapathar which is also managed by MSFS fathers.  St. Francis De Sales School strives to equip the younger generation with life-skills required to became catalysts of social transformation, agents of national integration, and ambassadors of universal brotherhood.
