HOLY REDEEMER RENEWAL CENTRE KAYING

In September 2010, the MSFS with the permission of the local ordinary, pioneered a retreat centre for the promotion of prayer and faith formation. Fr Aji Mathirampallil, the founder Director, named it as ‘Cenacle Retreat Centre’ and conducted regular retreats and prayers for the people of Siang parishes. Many have benefitted out of this initiative. Over the years Frs Corbinus Soreng (2012-2014) and Bernard Sangma (2014- ) have been serving as its Director and continuing the ministry of preaching. The Centre was renamed as Holy Redeemer Renewal Centre (HRRC) by Fr Bernard Sangma in 2015.

The activities of the centre are monthly conventions for which participants come from Manigaon, Tato, Basar, Darak, Daparijo, Tuting and Aalo. The number of participants vary between 30 to 70. Mother’s retreat and Youth retreat are conducted annually and the high number of participants are accommodated in different catholic families of the parish. The parishioners support the retreat programmes and take turn in taking care of the renewal centre. Besides the Director there are three lay preachers: namely Mr Mathew Tabang, Mr Keling Yaying and Mrs Adeng Yaying.
