A community facilitation center at Silapathar came into existence in 2019. It was blessed by most Rev. Michael Akasius Toppo, the Bishop of Tezpur Diocese and was inaugurated by Fr George Panthanmackel, the Provincial of Northeast India Province on 10^th November 2019. The project was actualized through the funding of FAsCE India for the purpose of executing and animating social work programs and animation programs in the region of Upper assam and Arunachal Pradesh. The construction of the building was looked after Fr Peter Parankimalil the superior and manager of the MSFS Community at Silapathar. When the erstwhile Northeast India province was divided into Guwahati and Dibrugarh Province, the building was used as a temporary provincial house for Dibrugarh Province as it didn’t have a proper place for the Provincial House. Constitutionally It was erected as a community on18th March 2021 by Fr Emmanuel Mappilaparambil, the provincial Dibrugarh Province with the permission of the Superior General. Fr Sunny Panthanazhivadakethil took charge as the superior of the local community on 18^th march 2021. The community at present comprises of the following members: Frs. Sunny Panthanazhivadakethil (Local Community Superior), Emmanuel Mappilaparambil (Provincial), Tomson Aerathedathu (Admonitor & Councilor), Peter Parankimalil (Bursar), Jaimon Thadathil (Provincial Secretary), Mathew Puthumana (School Counselor), JobinsVengathadathil (Principal, SFS School) & Carlus Barowa (Fransalian Youth Director).
